FC FAST 07' Womack Wrap up Fall Classic League

In their first season in the Classic League, the FC FAST 07' Womack team showed they belong and then some. Competing in Classic League D2, the team would not suffer a loss until the final game of the season. Unfortunately, that result would knock them out of a D1 promotion spot but the club is so proud of how the boys competed.

Under head coach Dave Womack, the U16 team remained undefeated through the first eight games of the season which was an outstanding achievement. With four wins and four ties it would all come down to the final game. A late handball which resulted in a goal would result in a 3-2 loss coming up one win short of second place in the league and promotion. It was a heartbreaking result but does not club what the team accomplished over the course of the season.

By securing a D2 spot once again for the spring, the team assured themselves a Classic League bye for the 2023/24 season already.

"The club is so pleased with Coach Womack and his group of boys for all their efforts this fall," said Coaching Director Paul Donaghy. "We weren't really sure what to expect from this group playing in the Classic League for the first time, especially in D2. We lost a number of players to ECNL and ECRL, but the boys quickly developed a strong chemistry and worked hard all season."

Please join FC FAST in congratulating FC FAST 07' Womack on a fine fall season!
