FC FAST 10' (Powell) Qualify for Classic

Congratulations to our FC FAST 10' (Powell) team for qualifying for the Classic League for the 2020/21 season. In the strangest time in youth soccer history our newest team overcomes all odds to meet their goal of qualifying for the Classic League.

"It is amazing what Coach Loren and Assistant Coach Gian have done with this remarkable group of boys during these unprecedented times," said FC FAST Director of Coaching Paul Donaghy. "This team just joined our club earlier this year and what a ride it has been. They had a great start to their first season playing academy this spring and then our club shut everything down on March 12th due to COVID-19. Once we resumed activities there wasn't a lot of time to prepare for the Classic Qualifying Tournament but these boys buckled down and got the job done. We are so proud of everything they have accomplished in such a short amount of time."

They opened the tournament with a 2-0 win under brand new protocols focused on player safety. There were a number of teams not following the protocols set and the rest of the tournament got even stranger as parents were not allowed to watch the games, not even from a distance. The team carried on and despite all the craziness achieved their big goal of qualifying for the Classic League.

Again, congratulations to Loren, Gian and all the boys for making it into the Classic League!
